Here’s the piece I’ve been working on off and on for the past week or so. Thought I’d expand my repetoire - I’ve drawn a handful of angels, but who do angels fight? Demons of course! I had an idea a little bit ago of a supernatural battle being waged between the knights of heaven and the minions of hell - and then i had a thought which followed the aforementioned thought - “Wouldn’t it be sweet to have an angel hurtling down from the sky and a big hulkin demon rising from the depths and have them collide in mid-air battle??”. Well, yes, I thought it would be rather sweet. So this is what I came up with.
I’m thinking i’ll start a “series” about this. It’s just so much fun to draw for me - half my sketches in class are of angels and the other half are spiderman, wolverine and batman lol. And the hulk. And Superman. Oh nevermind…
But anyway, I wasn’t able to color the piece yet - just had my sketches. So that’s why it’s all in black and white. Perhaps later when I can buy some material (or someone else wants to color it!) I’ll get around to posting a colored version.

hey i really like this. a couple days ago my teacher was talking about angels and demons. and how angels arent all dressed up in white and stuff like that, but they are ususally big and have all this amazing armor and a big sword and shield. and she also was talking about temptation and how like a demon would be standing next to you and like casting a spell on you but when you pray and ask God to relive temptation like your guardian angel will like kill the demon. and i just thought i’d tell you this. and this picture is sick. i wanna get something like this tattooed on me!
your idea is not too far off… however they will deny it…dont worry though nothings wrong with angels and demons…war between them is as natural as war between humans… they do exist. although they are less…comical
i like the whole angel vs demon i wanted to get some work on me like that but i was thinking of like an angel standing over a demon stabbing him with a spear with anger in the angels face and one of the demons hands raised up dripping blood tell me what you think or make something out of it
Ok, I’ve been looking around for pictures of angels and demons fighting, because I’m going to get tattoos Heaven winning on the right Hell winning on the left. These will be full shoulder cap, short shelve tattoos. I have stumbled upon your amazing work and finding that it is really close to what I envision in my mind when thinking about the war. So I was hoping you would be willing to draw up a few sketches and tell what you think.

i have an idea for a back tattoo and i can’t seem to get anybody to draw it out right, and i have no artistic talent myself. do you think you could come up with an angel having his wings ripped by two flying demons, and another demon charging at the angel with a sword? or a simple one for the chest, a demon with spread wings in all his glory?

Thank you for your generous compliments. I came up with these illustrations slowly over time. It started with just a simple angel drawing. Then an another one, then another…and soon enough I was drawing battle angels.
I was also heavily influenced by some books by Frank Peretti where he had angels battling demons in the spiritual realm. A great read I definitely recommend his work!
