So I cleaned this up and colored it in Photoshop! It took me forever to finish this piece. I was in an artistic funk for the longest time. I think I’m out of it now though. Filling in the surroundings for this pic was fun. I wanted to have a feeling of power coming from the angel, giving him a real supernatural feel. That’s also one reason I left the face out - to leave a feeling of mystery and supernaturality about it. Of course, it was also an excuse not to have to come up with a face! :D.
Overall I’m happy with the picture. The wings were fun as usual. Wish I could have drawn some more of the background though. The pencil and the digital worked overall, but I still see areas where it could be improved more. I got tired of working on it though, :), so here it is!
The Guardian - stands watch over his charge. He lets his glory radiate and provide an aura of protection. In the midst of chaos he stands firm. Whilst under orders, absolutely no harm shall befall this boy. Of this he is confident as he feels the holy power of heaven flow through his veins.
so hey i was wondering if you would be willing to let me use your guardian design on a t-shirt. I’m thinking about starting my own t-shirt company and the money would go to aid missionary aid and missionary relief. Anyway i was just wondering how you felt about letting me use that design.
i’m glad you like my work! :). As for as using the design, if you’re using it for yourself, go right ahead!! However, if you’re going to be selling it to make a profit (which you’d have to do to sustain a company even if part of the profit was aiding a non-profit organization), it’d only be fair to work out some sort of contract.
