Michael, the ArchAngel, descends from On High, in full power and glory, unleashed now that the time has finally come to storm the Gates of Hell!

So I'm starting to get some time to work these days. Was working on a request for a good friend (who's been waiting a year!) and needed something to warm up on. I found something old I was working on and whipped it into shape in a couple hours.

This is my first fully digital painting! There aren't any pencil lines to be seen (unprecedented for me). Just a graphics tablet and good 'ol Photoshop!

This is a piece I did, say 5 months ago for a commissioner (no, not Gordon). Believe it or not, haven’t had a chance to draw since then! But anyway, this is the piece they requested.

I thought it was quite an interesting idea. They didn’t tell me what exactly the symbolism meant to them, but to me it encapsulates the inherent duality in us all. The bad that dwells even in the best of us. And even the good that dwells in even the worst of us.

For those interested, the symbols in the background are a super-position of a cross and an upside down pentacle (pentagram), symbolizing the union of the holy and the unholy.

This was a commissioned piece that I worked on. Had a lot of fun doing it. There's no deep meaning or anything to it - at least not that the commissioner told me about. Perhaps it's just 'forbidden love'. Take away what you will. .

This was a piece I started a long time ago and finally got the motivation to finish. I like the final result…was going for female angelic warrior, but with a more ephemeral feel to it.

I spent a lot of time in Photoshop (probably 6-8 hours ish total) trying to get this to look good. I marshaled my limited skills as best I could and put gave that Wacom what what! I'm fairly proud of the result. Started using a new coloring technique which gives me much better results than before.

The Dragon Elf idea is originally 's. I did an art trade with her back in the day when the world was young and people were saying “You post at Deviant What?”.

I thought, what a cool idea! Perhaps there's a whole race of elves who raise frickin' dragons in their backyards. I could draw a small elven lady, holding the leash connected to a massive raging beast of ancient maniacal fury and fire. Ho yeah.

And where the heck is the other side of the dragon's face?? I can't tell you…dragons are freakin' magical, i have a hard time tracking them down to ask them questions like that.

Been sketching a lot to warm up for some angel pieces that are in the works. Here’s one of the latest. I hadn’t colored anything in Photoshop lately and thought I’d give it a try.

My usual Photoshop style of coloring just wasn’t working out so well. I kind of hit the ceiling as far as creativity was concerned. I found a tutorial on dA though here that was phenomenal. Think I may color my future pieces like this…

Strong, sassy, and sexy at the same time. Which is what Poison Ivy is. Wanted to try to draw a beautiful woman (as my usual watchers know, that is not my strong point) and have her actually look good. My last Wonder Woman was supposed to accomplish that…but didn’t work out so well .

Anyway, I’m really satisfied with this one! Perhaps my best female-figure yet. I’m learning, slowly but surely!

They were prepared. The Last Battle would be theirs. And there it was! That hated Heavenly Trumpet! The Demonic Host lifted their horn and sounded a truly wicked proclamation. The Battle begins.

I’m pretty satisfied with how this came out! I used the concept art for World of Warcraft, as well as Joe Mad’s Battle Chaser art for inspiration. Drawing such ridiculous proportions was pretty fun.
